Governing Board

Hélène Kerth is Director of Operations for the International Coalition to Eliminate HBV. She holds a medical degree from the Technical University of Munich, Germany, and has a strong background in virology, hepatology, and immunology through her doctoral research at the Institute of Virology in Munich under Professor Ulrike Protzer. Her research focused on developing therapeutic vaccines aimed at curing chronic hepatitis B. Hélène also brings experience in clinical trial design and implementation, as well as a solid foundation in international development and the non-profit sector. A committed member of ICE-HBV since 2023, she is passionate about accelerating progress toward the global elimination of hepatitis B.
